Specimen Locality: Sanming Mine, Fujian Province, China

Mineral Description: This specimen proved difficult to photograph and is definitely better than the photos in person. Several large, modified dodecohedral fluorite crystals (to 3.5 cm) perched on a bit of matrix. Some faces of the fluorites are frosted and some are clear, allowing you to see the pale purple ghosting inside of the larger crystal. I have backlit some of the photos to show the nice zoning and color. Height: 6 Width: 5 Depth: 3.2 cm
