Specimen Locality: Treece, Picher Field, Tri-State District, Cherokee County, Kansas

Mineral Description: An outstanding specimen consisting of a lustrous, dark metallic-gray, doubly terminated, sphalerite crystal measuring 4.8 cm in length, with a sprinkling of tiny brassy chalcopyrite crystals, perched near the top of a limestone matrix coated with saddle-shaped, pastel pink, rhombic dolomite crystals. There are also iridescent chalcopyrite crystals and smaller sphalerite crystals sprinkled over the dolomites. A very choice and aesthetic combination specimen with great composition from this famous locality! Height: 9.9 Width: 7.7 Depth: 6.5 cm
