Specimen Locality: Boekenhouthoek, Mkobola, Nkangala District, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa

Mineral Description: A sparkling, medium-purple amethyst crystal, free of matrix, with an overgrowth of smaller amethyst crystals coating the prism faces of the large crystal but not the termination. These specimens are sometimes referred to as ?spirit quartz? or ?cactus quartz.? No damage. Height: 4.7 Width: 2.5 Depth: 2 cm
