Specimen Locality: Minerva Mine #1, Cave-in-Rock District, S. Illinois

Mineral Description: A super lustrous yellow fluorite with zonations of light purple for the outer few millimeters. The fluorites are up to 4.3 cm on edge and many have rounded dissolution pits in the faces (most likely from dissolved barite balls). Minor calcite on the specimen which could be removed with HCL if desired. Height: 12.5 Width: 6.5 Depth: 5 cm
