Specimen Locality: Grabiszyce Basalt Quarry, Lesna, Lesna Commune, Luban District, Lower Silesia, Poland

Mineral Description: This is another of the calcites from the new find in Poland. This consists of a basalt matrix with a single terminated nailhead calcite crystal with a secondary overgrowth of calcite. Excellent condition.I tried to photograph the detail of the termination, but is is not a great picture…the specimen is MUCH better. Dimensions: 3 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm
