Specimen Locality: Huanggang Mine, Hexigten, Chifeng Prefecture, Inner Mongolia, China

Mineral Description: An excellent pair of sharp, glassy, intergrown rhombohedral, pastel-pink colored manganoan calcite crystals with very minor matrix on the bottom side from a 2013 find at this important Chinese locality. The crystals exhibit good luster and translucency. The crystals appear to exhibit twinning and the twinning plane is visible near the top of each crystal. Nearly pristine with only very light bruising to one edge on the back side. Shows all around and fluoresces orange. Height: 8.1 Width: 6.1 Depth: 5.5 cm
