Specimen Locality: Wagholi Quarry, Pune District, Maharashtra, India

Mineral Description: Sparkling, pearly white stilbite crystals to 1.5 cm in length are covering a basalt matrix. Scattered over the stilbites are over a dozen brilliant, sparkling blue rosettes of cavansite crystals. The cavansite rosettes measure to 1.3 cm across. A colorful and attractive specimen with nice contrast. No damage. Cavansite is a rare calcium vanadium silicate and was only discovered within the last 50 years. By far the best specimens come from the famous zeolite quarries in India. Height: 9 Width: 7.7 Depth: 4.8 cm
