Specimen Locality: Maharashtra, India

Mineral Description: A really neat (if hard to photograph) specimen consisting of a group of large tabular calcite crystals in parallel growth (these usually indicte water level in a pocket). The calcite are coated with larger calcites on one (down) side of the crystal. The tops of the calcites appear to be dusted with micro-apophyllite crystals, giving the greenish tinge. The specimen is dusted with a fine quartz coating as well. A lot going on here! Height: 11.5 Width: 8 Depth: 4 cm
