About The Company:
My company is actually called Uniquely Crystalline. I started using the name UC Minerals when I started my first web page in 1995. I was one of the earliest dealers on the internet and have had a website ever since then. The web name also better describes what my business all about…”You see minerals”. I have been an avid collector for about 35 years now and have had this company for the last 33 years. Over the years, I have built up quite an inventory of specimens from around the world.
I carry minerals ranging from exceptional, one-of-a-kind, specimens for the collector, to reference pieces for the beginning collector. If you have any particular interests, just drop me a line and let me know. If I do not have an item in stock, it is very likely that I can find it for you.
Now, a little history about myself, as a licensed Professional Geologist working in Tallahassee, Florida, my job requires that I travel frequently. If you cannot reach me, just leave me a message and I get in touch with you as soon as possible. I travel to both Denver and Tuscon each year in order to stock up on new items from around the world.
Making my living as a professional geological mapper in Florida, I get to see some neat places. In fact, my first job gave me access to many of the central Florida quarries which produced fine Florida Calcites back in the 1980s. This exposure is what got me interested in starting a business. I started with selling Brazilian Amethyst geodes and then Illinois Pyrite Suns. After deciding that the amethyst geodes were too heavy, and that the suns were too much work to clean, I began specializing in providing fine minerals for sale. I tend to specialize in miniature and small cabinet specimens from worldwide localities, with a focus on fluorites and carbonate minerals. Having been collecting minerals for over 35 years, and in business for 33 years, I have developed quite an inventory.
I treat purchasing specimens for resale in a simple manner: I look at each specimen that I buy as if it were going in my own collection. Because I tend to be very picky about things like “dings”, I think that you will be satisfied with any specimens which are ordered from UC Minerals. However, if you are dissatisfied for any reason with a purchase, just contact me and I will arrange a refund. (See the section on Ordering and Shipping for more information on my policy regarding returns.)
